Technique: Be a Better Cook - Canned Biscuits














Canned biscuits are wonderful time-savers and special treats used with imagination.  Here are some ideas:

1. Split into halves, dip into melted butter, roll in sugar-and-cinnamon mixture. Bake.

2. Cut each biscuit into three portions, deep fry, and roll immediately in grated cheddar of parmesan cheese flavored with a little garlic and salt.  Bake. 

3. A delicious teatime or coffee-break goodie.  Split biscuits and spread between the layers a mixture of chopped walnuts, dates, candied orange peel. enough honey to moisten; top with brown sugar and dots of butter and bake.

4. Make quick snacks by splitting and filling biscuits with chopped peanuts, crisp bacon and mayonnaise. Bake.

5. Server piping-hot buttered biscuits on top of warm stewed fruit; cover with thick sweet surup, dash of cinnamon.
