Recipe #1
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 1/2 cup lukewarm water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Mix all of the ingredients together with your hands into large ball. Wrap with plastic wrap and let stand for 20 minutes. Form into balls that are slightly smaller than golf balls. Flatten each ball with a rolling pin into 6 to 8-inch circles that are 1/8-inch thick. Place on a dry, hot griddle and cook until brown on both sides, about 1 minute per side. Yield: 12 servings

Home Made Tortillas
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup oil (canola)
2 cups hot water (may not need all so pour a little at a time)
Combine all dry ingredients, make cup in middle and add oil and water. Work until it is combined and holds together. Make balls and let sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour with a damp towel on top. Roll out and fry for 1 minute on 1st side and 30 seconds on 2nd side.
1 kilogram flour plus 1 cup for rolling surface
1 ½ cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp salt
1 ½ cup warm water
